Welcome New Readers!
With so many new subscribers joining over the past year (yay! thanks!), I thought it would be a good time time to reintroduce myself and give you a little idea of what you can expect from Go Love NY.
When I first started this newsletter, it was a way to keep my audience in the loop about upcoming tours. But as time went on, it evolved into something more – a space for me to share all the great things there are to do in the Hudson Valley and Westchester.
Sometimes, I'll give you the full scoop for a weekend getaway, like I did in Hudson or Kingston. Or I’ll do a roundup of my favorite spots, whether that's gardens, hikes, or shops. Or I may share ideas for day trips, Beacon or Hyde Park. And sometimes, I’ll focus on one special place, like the time I was lucky enough to visit The Breuer House in Sleepy Hollow (a bucket list day I’ll never forget).
Because I LOVE to travel, research, and take meticulous notes, friends often come to me when planning their own vacations. That's where GO BEYOND NY comes in. Here you’ll find allllllll the details from my family adventures to places like Copenhagen, Norway, or Paris. Look for a post in the next week or so about my ten super interesting days in Mexico City and Oaxaca!
So, what makes me an expert? Nothing, especially :) Except I'm absolutely passionate about discovering cool new things to do and sharing them with the people in my orbit
A little more about me: My career began by working in museums and art galleries, but I've worn many hats over the years – from graphic designer (working with editorial publishers such as Condé Nast, Random House, and Time, Inc) to brand manager to website designer. But in recent years, especially as I lean into my new “empty nester” status, I have realized that my true calling is as Rivertowns insider – the one who has sussed out the best running trails, the ideal fall hike, a dinner spot with a water view, an amazing cup of coffee, or which tour to take for a dose of history. Go ahead, ask me! Everyone else does :) Go Love NY brings all of this together in one place.
Anyway, I'm so thrilled to you’re here, and I can't wait to share more of my finds with you!
Be sure to check out the archive for past posts, and follow me on Instagram for even more inspo. And if you did something last weekend and want to share recommendations, or just want to say hi, feel free to reply to this email!
Happy exploring!
