Hi, great piece, thanks for sharing!

Questions - when did you start this walk to be done for lunch, and how long did it take?

Thanks again!

Yes, we planned to start early and have lunch after. We started around 7:00 am and sat down to lunch at noon.

I loved this article and especially the fact that you still call it the Tappan Zee bridge.

Wow! That’s quite a walk! I’ve only ever driven across the Tappan Zee and can’t imagine walking it. 😬 I’m excited for you and your friend. The Manhattan walk you describe sounds like the Shore Walkers I read about decades ago—could be the same walk with a new name. Always wanted to go that, but…. Thanks for this great read. Definitely going to check out Nyack and at lease parts of the path you ventured along.

Yes! It is hosted by Shorewalkers. Thanks for reminding me to include that.

I needed this detailed rundown! I live in NJ now, but I'm from Rockland County, and have family in Tarrytown. I've been saying for years that I'm going to walk the bridge. Every summer, it never happens. Maybe this is the year.

It's a great walk even though the bridge is long. Good luck; let me know how it goes.😊
