About Go Love NY
I'm Robin, the person behind Go Love NY.
Go Love NY started as a way to share my curated small-group day trips around Westchester, the Rivertowns, and the Hudson Valley. But it's grown into something more fun—my way of sharing all the interesting and fun things to do in this area.
My background? I've worn many hats over the years – from working in museums and art galleries to graphic design and art director at Condé Nast, Random House, and Time, Inc. I've been a brand manager and website designer too. But in recent years, especially as I've leaned into my "empty nester" status, I've realized my true calling is being that friend everyone texts when they need:
The best towns to explore for a day trip
What museums and historical sites to check out
Gardens worth visiting
Hotels for an overnight stay
Random hidden gems that most people miss
The best spot for lunch
Farms, workshops, breweries, and local makers.
Go ahead, ask me! Everyone else does! 😊
What You'll Find in My Newsletter
Sometimes I'll give you the full scoop for a weekend getaway, like I did for Hudson or Kingston. Other times, I'll round up my favorite spots – gardens, hikes, shops, you name it. You might get ideas for day trips to places like Beacon or Hyde Park, or I might deep-dive into one special place like that day I toured The Breuer House in Sleepy Hollow..
Because I LOVE to travel, research, and take ridiculously meticulous notes, friends often turn to me when planning their own vacations. That's where my GO BEYOND NY posts come in – sharing all the details from family adventures to Copenhagen, Norway, Paris, Mexico City, and more!
