Hello friends!

We wanted to re-introduce ourselves since we’ve gotten so many new subscribers after switching to Substack. We are Robin and Elizabeth of Go Love NY. We curate private small group day trips and experiences – incorporating nature, culture, and food – in Westchester County, the Rivertowns and the Hudson Valley.

Robin is the marketing and creative genius of GLNY. Elizabeth is the GLNY operations and logistics queen. We both take turns hosting our Go Love NY groups. The whole reason we created Go Love NY is because we wanted to combine our love of travel with our love of where we live! Read on for a couple of special tours and some of our favorite spots.

We thought now would be a great time and a perfect way to meet some of you. So we’re offering two public tours in December!

A day in Hastings is never complete without a visit to Penny Lick Ice Cream, the famous water tower view and a stop at In2Green

Hastings-on-Hudson History Walk and Shop
Saturday, December 10

Join us and a small group for a holiday walk-and-shop in Hastings-on-Hudson. We’ll start with a walk through the village, hearing about its fascinating history (including Revolutionary War, Sugar Mills, and Wizard of Oz tales). 

Along the way, we’ll point out lovely, unique shops and cozy restaurants. Many of these local independently-owned businesses will be offering Go Love NY guests special offers and discounts on this tour day, such as The Good Witch Coffee Bar and Refill Room! We’ll finish up our walk in the ideal place if you want to backtrack for holiday shopping or a bite to eat.

Easily accessible via Metro-North train or car. Our meeting spot is at the Hastings-on-Hudson MetroNorth train station (at the Good Witch Coffee Bar).

The Octagon House is one of our favorite, hidden Rivertowns gems. It’s a can't-miss tour when it's decorated in the style of a Victorian Christmas. 

Join us and fellow Go Love NY’ers for an in-depth visit to the fascinating property. The house has been painstakingly restored to its 1872 roots, and is still privately owned (the family even stays in the residence at times, making it even more special that they open it for tours).
